On Monday, January 27, 2025, the BTP Federation of the Alpes-Maritimes brought together over 300 attendees, including elected officials, members, and partners, for its traditional New Year’s reception. This event provided a unique opportunity to exchange ideas and strengthen relationships while outlining the major challenges and priorities for the year ahead.
A Challenging Context, Strengthened Actions
The evening began with an opening speech by Patrick Moulard, President of the Federation, who offered a candid assessment of the sector’s current situation. With a predicted recession, particularly in new housing, he emphasized the urgency of implementing strong measures. “Our companies must diversify and explore new growth drivers while awaiting the much-needed recovery of new housing projects,” he stated. The Federation pledged to continue informing, advocating, and proposing concrete solutions to local officials and lawmakers to ensure legislation that aligns with on-the-ground realities.

Key Issues for the Region
The President highlighted two main priorities for the department:
- Housing and Urban Development: Meeting the growing needs of workers and attracting new talent to the Côte d’Azur. Patrick Moulard stressed that “building more and building better is an economic and social necessity.”
- Infrastructure and Green Transformation: He called for increased investment in maintaining road networks, expanding the tramway, and improving the energy efficiency of public buildings.
Supporting Businesses in 2025
To address these challenges, the BTP Federation of the Alpes-Maritimes plans to enhance its support for businesses throughout the year with initiatives such as:
- Regular meetings with project owners to boost market opportunities and promote local businesses.
- Increased backing for training and recruitment through events like job fairs, expos, and initiatives such as “Behind the Scenes of Construction.”
- Greater assistance for struggling companies via the Crisis Support Unit and a dedicated network of partners.
An Exceptional Year for the FBTP 06
The year 2025 marks the Federation’s 130th anniversary, which will be celebrated with several landmark events. Additionally, the Federation will amplify its communication efforts, including the launch of a podcast dedicated to the construction sector. The organization also aims to foster closer collaboration among its partners through its Partner Club.
Patrick Moulard concluded his speech with a call for unity: “Despite an uncertain start to the year, we must remain united and mobilized to shape the future of the construction industry in our region together.”
Once again, this New Year’s reception demonstrated the commitment and resilience of the Federation and its members, ready to tackle the challenges of 2025 with ambition and determination.
